Six teens injured in overnight Brooklyn shooting outside party venue, police say

Six teenagers were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning outside a party venue in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, according to police.

Officers responded at approximately 1:15 a.m. to a 911 call reporting multiple people shot outside 2929 Atlantic Ave., an NYPD spokesperson said.

When police officers arrived, they found six victims ranging in age from 15 to 17. A 15-year-old girl was shot in the chest, hip and leg, while another 15-year-old girl was shot in the right leg. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the left arm. Two 16-year-old boys were shot — one in the left foot and one in the right arm — and a 17-year-old boy was shot in the right leg.

Emergency medical responders took four of the victims to Brookdale University Hospital. The other two victims were taken to Kings County Hospital. All six are in stable condition, police said.

Police said the shooting occurred outside a venue where a party was taking place, though it remains unclear whether the victims were attending the event..

Two men police are describing as persons of interest fled the scene on foot following the shooting. No one has been arrested for the shooting and a motive has not been determined, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
