Two students were killed and nine others were wounded on Saturday afternoon after a gunman opened fire inside a classroom during final exams, according to the Associated Press. A person of interest was reportedly taken into custody early Sunday at a hotel outside Providence, but police have not yet shared a motive.

Tisch added that there is currently “no known nexus to New York City.”
