Young man hospitalized and suspect at large following Fresno shooting, police say
A young man is in the hospital after being shot in the chest in East Central Fresno on Saturday night.
The shooting happened just before 9:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Elite Liquors in the area of Peach and Belmont avenues.
Police say they received a call about a gunshot victim, and when they arrived, officers found a young man they believe to be 18 or 19 years old.
The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
At this time, there is no suspect information.
Police are canvassing the area for any security footage as the investigation continues.
