Woman shot while walking with brother along Cecil B. Moore Avenue near the Martin Luther King Jr. Rec Center in North Philadelphia

A 25-year-old woman is recovering from being shot while walking with her brother in North Philadelphia.

Police do not believe she was the intended target.

The gunshots rang out along Cecil B. Moore Avenue near the Martin Luther King Jr. Rec Center, just before 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Investigators found six shell casings at the scene.

The victim was shot in the torso and is in stable condition.

Police have not made any arrests.
