Woman shot while inside bathroom of apartment in rooming house in Philadelphia's Germantown section
Philadelphia police are investigating after a woman was shot while inside her home in the city's Germantown section.
It happened just before 3 a.m. in the 4600 block of Wayne Avenue.
Police say a 66-year-old woman suffered a single gunshot wound while inside her second-floor apartment of a rooming house.
She was in the bathroom when she heard a gunshot outside the door and then felt pain.
She was able to call 911 and wait for help.
The victim was taken to Temple Hospital in stable condition.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
