A woman was shot and wounded by a police officer at a former rehabilitation facility in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on Sunday.
It happened at a former Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital at 850 S. Fifth Street.
The Lehigh County District Attorney's Office said that police and emergency services were called to help a woman who appeared to be in distress.
When they approached her, investigators say the woman brandished a knife and threatened first responders.
She was then shot once by an officer. The woman survived the shooting and is being treated at a local hospital.
Her name has not been released.
The D.A.'s office said the woman is not a patient or resident of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation.
