A 19-year-old man was killed in a possible gang-related shooting outside a restaurant in Whittier over the weekend, authorities said.
Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Mills Avenue, near the Burrito Track restaurant, after the shooting was reported around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The 19-year-old, identified as Adrian Coreno, was walking with two others northbound on Mills Avenue when someone from a passing car fired shots at them, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Coreno was pronounced dead at the scene. He died from a gunshot wound in his torso, according to the county medical examiner.
The two other victims were unharmed in the shooting.
Sheriff's officials said the suspect vehicle was last seen going southbound on Mills Avenue.
