Uptown, Chicago shooting today: Man shot near Montrose Harbor in 4800-block of North Simmons Drive, police department says
A man was shot near Montrose Harbor on Chicago's North Side on Monday evening, police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the Uptown neighborhood's 4800-block of North Simmons Drive around 5:20 p.m.
A 27-year-old man was standing outside of a vehicle when someone approached him, took out a gun, and fired shots, police said.
The victim, shot in the arm, was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition.
