LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 22-year-old Chicago man is accused of shoving a teenage girl out of a moving car after he became "enraged" with her for pleading with him to delete nude photos he had of her, police said.

Montreal M. Montgomery, 22, of the 3600 block of West Sunnyside Avenue in Chicago, now faces several charges in connection with the Sept. 1 incident and for allegations he sexually assaulted the girl. The girl was 16 years old at the time of the sexual assault, Christopher Covelli, deputy chief for the sheriff's office, told Patch.

Police learned the girl met Montgomery on social media earlier this year, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office. He met the girl on several occasions prior to Sept. 1 and "eventually pressured the girl into a sexual relationship," police said.

"Montgomery obtained nude photographs of the girl, and he threatened to share the photos with others, should the girl not continue their sexual relationship," according to police.

On Sept. 1, Montgomery came to Lake County and picked up the girl. As he was driving, the girl pleaded with Montgomery to delete the pictures. After he became angry with the teen, he shoved her out of the moving car and fled the area, police said.

Deputies responded and found the girl on the ground in the area of Helendale Road and Rollins Road in Ingleside. She was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Friday, detective located Montgomery and took him into custody. He's been charged with criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse, aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery and traveling to meet a minor.
