Teen dies after allegedly shooting pregnant girlfriend Makayla, killing her brother Tyler in Barron, Wisconsin

A heartbreaking tragedy in Wisconsin where investigators say a teenage gunman opened fire on his pregnant girlfriend and her brother.

Police said the 17-year-old suspect later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Family members said the young man who was killed died protecting his sister in Barron, Wisconsin.

"Makayla, like, I said, went in there, like, all happy and stuff, and this is the next thing I know, and the world changed in just a matter of seconds," said mother Gina Sadowski.

Tyler, 20, and his 17-year-old sister Makayla were both shot at their home on Wednesday allegedly by her boyfriend, according to the family.

Tyler was killed and Makayla is fighting to survive.

The family says Makayla was pregnant and was shot in the stomach.

The baby boy had to be delivered two months early but is expected to survive.

Family says the baby weighs two pounds, five ounces and is 15 inches long.

The Barron County Sheriff's Office said the shooter posted the attack on Snapchat before taking his own life.

Authorities said they were working with Snapchat to remove that video.
