An investigation is underway after an officer-involved shooting in downtown Los Angeles sends one person to the hospital.
The Los Angeles Police Department says the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. near 8th Street and Gladys Avenue, where officers located a stolen car with two suspects inside. According to LAPD, an officer fired during the encounter, though it remains unclear what led to the shooting.
One suspect was taken into custody and another was taken to the hospital in unknown condition. Police have not confirmed whether either suspect was armed.
