Suspect shot by Putnam County Sheriff's Office member after hitting officer with car while allegedly fleeing scene
State police are investigating after an officer shot a suspect who struck them with a vehicle in Putnam County.
It happened just after 8:30 p.m. Monday on Sodom Road in the town of Southeast.
Putnam County Sheriff's Office members were investigating when the suspect's vehicle attempted to flee the scene and hit an officer.
That's when the officer opened fire, hitting the suspect.
Both were taken to the hospital.
There is no word on their conditions at this time.
