Suspect arrested for deadly October shooting in Fresno, police say

The Fresno Police Department has identified the suspect in a deadly southwest Fresno shooting.

Police say 23-year-old Esteban Diaz was arrested for murder on Friday in relation to the attack on October 29.

They say just after 6:30 that evening, police were called to Poppy and Lorena avenues for gunfire.

When officers arrived, they found 24-year-old Faustino Mancilla lying in the driveway of his home with a bullet wound to his upper body.

Officers provided medical aid, but Mancilla died at the scene.
