Shooting shuts down EB 10 Freeway near downtown Los Angeles

The eastbound 10 Freeway was shut down near downtown Los Angeles Wednesday afternoon after reports of a shooting, authorities said.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a shooting on the freeway near 1014 West Adams Boulevard at around 12:26 p.m.

The eastbound 10 Freeway is closed from Arlington to Hoover. CHP is diverting traffic at Crenshaw.

A 44-year-old shooting victim was transported in serious condition, according to the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

An investigation is ongoing.
