A search was underway Sunday for a man who police say opened fire at officers in Boyle Heights overnight.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. after officers were called to North Meyers Street near the 101 Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. It's unclear what the officers were originally responding to.
When they arrived, police say a man took out a rifle and shot at them before fleeing the scene.
No officers were hurt and it's unclear if they shot back.
