San Leandro police say a traffic stop early Monday morning ended in a police shooting.
It happened around 12:30 a.m.
Police say an officer attempted to pull over a driver, but they allegedly sped off before crashing near the area of Davis and Alvarado Streets.
According to police, an officer later spotted the suspect on nearby railroad tracks holding a rifle.
Police say he wouldn't drop his weapon, which is when an officer shot at him.
No one was hurt, and the suspect was taken into custody.
The officer who fired his weapon is now on administrative leave, which is standard protocol.
