Roommate Attacked In Plainfield Area, Joliet Police Arrest Combative Man During Struggle: English
JOLIET, IL — For the second time since late August, Joliet police have arrested
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 11:18 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a residence in the 4400 block of Riverside Drive for a disturbance. English said that Sarich had allegedly attacked his 29-year-old male roommate at the residence.
"During an argument, Sarich allegedly punched his roommate in the abdomen before both became involved in a physical altercation. Sarich is accused of later striking the victim in the face before leaving the residence," English announced.
The victim declined medical assistance. Meanwhile, Sarich had an active Will County warrant for failing to appear in court in connection with one of his prior arrests in Will County. Sarich has been kept in the Will County Jail on three other occasions in 2025 and 2022.
According to English, Joliet's officers later located Sarich near the area of Rossiter Parkway and Aldrich Street, where he was taken into custody following a brief struggle in which he tried to pull away and he fell to the ground with the officers.
Sarich was charged with domestic battery, resisting a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer and the outstanding Will County arrest warrant. He was processed at the Joliet Police Department and transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility, where he remained Monday afternoon.
