Raven Aikins charged in South Loop, Chicago shooting that injured missing girl outside Jewel-Osco store at Roosevelt and Wabash

A woman has been charged with shooting a teenage girl outside of a South Loop Jewel-Osco store on Tuesday night, Chicago police said on Friday.

Police said the shooting happened during a fight near the Roosevelt and Wabash store around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Raven Aikins, 29, is accused of shooting the 17-year-old in the leg.

A witness told ABC7 that the teen allegedly threw a drink at a security guard.

Officers took Aikins into custody about 15 minutes after the shooting happened. She is charged with Aggravated Battery/Discharge Firearm.
