Dozens of protesters gathered outside the federal building in San Francisco early Tuesday morning to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations, with some chaining themselves to entrances to block access. The protest began around 6:30 a.m., and as a result, some individuals were unable to enter the building for their scheduled immigration check-ins and hearings, NBC Bay Area reported. Police arrested several protesters during the demonstration. Organizers said they were protesting because the building houses an ICE field office.See full coverage from NBC Bay Area.
