Postal worker robbed at gunpoint while delivering mail in Central Fresno, police say

A United States Postal Service worker was robbed at gunpoint on Hammond Avenue near Fruit Avenue in Central Fresno around 11:00 a.m. Thursday.

Fresno police say when they arrived, they found the victim with their vehicle keys, wallet and cell phone stolen.

The suspect ran on foot heading toward Fruit Avenue.

The victim was uninjured during the robbery.

According to Fresno police, the postal worker was out making deliveries in the mail truck when they were robbed.

Police are actively searching the area for surveillance cameras that may have caught where the suspect was heading to help with their investigation.
