Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a suspect injured in Berlin Township, New Jersey.
The incident began around 2 p.m. Tuesday near Haddon Avenue and Bate Avenue after reports of shots being fired.
Officials confirm to Action News that the suspect involved was taken to Cooper University Hospital for unknown injuries.
It's still unclear if any officers were injured in the incident.
Action News is working to gather more information on what led up to the gunfire.
Edward McNeil Jr. said he heard the shots being fired while in his backyard.
"I heard three gunshots from my backyard. I was just picking strawberries and I heard three pops," McNeil said. "Next thing I know, three cop cars are here and undercover cars are coming by."
Police have urged residents to avoid the area.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office referred all questions to the New Jersey Attorney General's Office, which has not yet responded to requests for comment.
