Police-involved shooting on Long Island in Carle Place leaves one man injured
A man was injured in a police-involved shooting in Carle Place on Wednesday morning.
Police say shots were fired shortly after officers responded to a home on Rushmore Avenue around 12:30 a.m.
The man, 30, was shot in the chest and taken to the hospital. It is not yet clear his condition.
Nassau County police closed local streets as they investigated what led up to the shooting.
