Police search for suspected shooter after man shot in the chest in Midtown Manhattan
A 27-year-old man received critical wounds after being shot in the chest in Midtown Manhattan.
The shooting happened just after 10 p.m. on 57th Street and 6th Avenue.
Responding police officers rushed the victim to Mount Sinai West in a police cruiser. He was in critical condition and was stabilized.
A suspect, last seen wearing all black, fled on foot from the scene.
Police are still looking for the shooter.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the motive, are unknown.
