Police officer shot, gunman barricaded in Brownsville, Brooklyn home
An officer was shot when someone opened fire at police officers from a building in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn Monday morning.
The officer was taken to taken to Brookdale University Hospital, just blocks away from the shooting scene, in stable condition.
Officers had responded to a home on Thomas S Boyland Street just before 8 a.m. to investigate a homicide.
A person in the building got into a shootout with the officers.
The suspect is now barricaded in the building.
