Police investigating possible shooting at reported back-to-school party in Covina

Police are investigating reports of a shooting that occurred late Saturday night at an apparent back-to-school party in a Covina neighborhood.

Police were reportedly called to the 700 block of Peachtree Lane just before 10:30 p.m.

Details are limited, but according to witnesses, a home in the area was hosting an open invite swimming party.

Video obtained by Eyewitness News shows two people being detained by police officers. The footage also shows a gun lying next to an evidence marker on the street.

"They taped everything, and then the dogs were out and then apparently there was a shooting here," said a witness.

ABC7 has reached out to the several area police departments for more information.
