Police investigating deadly shooting in Philadelphia's Hunting Park section
Philadelphia police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city's Hunting Park section.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. on Monday on North Warnock Street, near Venango Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they zeroed in on a black Mercedes on the sidewalk that was still running.
Initially, police said a man was allegedly trying to steal the Mercedes when he was fatally shot by the owner of the car. Now, police say the motive has not been determined.
Police say the person who was shot fired off a round before being struck by gunfire.
He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
Police are trying to talk to the owner of the Mercedes to get more information.
Detectives are also checking surveillance video in the area.
