Omaha police arrest 2 people for their roles in multiple shootings

Omaha police arrested two people in connection with two shootings.Lakira Thomas, 18, was arrested for two counts of first-degree assault, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and felon in possession of a firearm for the shooting near 30th Street and Martin Avenue that injured one person.Ronnie Simmons, 20, was also arrested in connection with that shooting.
