"Out of concern for public safety, the trooper ended the pursuit.," said NSP.A little after 12:30 a.m., the trooper saw the same vehicle as it headed southbound on Highway 75, so the trooper initiated another pursuit as more troopers were called to the scene.NSP said a trooper performed a tactical vehicle intervention, but the driver continued fleeing, heading westbound on Chandler Road. The vehicle went over the median, damaging multiple tires before fleeing westbound in the eastbound lanes. The driver lost control of the vehicle near 36th Street and Chandler Road.NSP arrested Kobe Baker, 28, and he was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries before being taken to Douglas County Corrections for flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, and other traffic violations. This was Baker's second offense for DUI.Click here for the latest headlines from KETV NewsWatch 7
