Hundreds of students at Oakland's Skyline High School walked out of class on Tuesday, calling for an end to gun violence, especially on school campuses.
SKY7 was over the march as the students left Skyline and walked down Redwood Road toward Highway 13.
The walkout comes a week after a 15-year-old Skyline student was shot on campus. Two juveniles are now in custody.
The student is expected to recover, and Oakland police say he's in good spirits.
Similar protests are expected at other schools in Oakland.
The shooting happened a day before the shooting of John Beam at Laney College.
