No Injuries, Property Damage Found After Shots Reportedly Fired On Aurora's East Side: Police

AURORA, IL — Aurora police responded Thursday evening to a report of shots fired on the city's East Side.

Officers were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. to the area around Plum Street and North Westlawn Avenue after receiving reports of gunfire in the area. Police recovered shell casings but found no property damage or injuries, spokesperson Jim Levicki told Patch.

Officers conducted K-9 and drone searches as part of the preliminary investigation. No arrests were made.

At 10:05 p.m., police shared an update on Facebook saying the scene had cleared and the public faced no threat.

The incident remains under investigation, Levicki said.
