Newly released surveillance video reveals the chaotic scene as Adriana Gonzales lost her life outside Wayne's Liquor in Southwest Fresno in 2023.
The video shows a sedan pulling into the parking lot. Investigators say Gonzales was inside, seen through the window.
The 21-year-old stepped out of the vehicle moments before being gunned down.
"At the point when the Kia drives away, does it make any contact with Ms. Gonzales' body?" Deputy District Attorney Kelly Smith asked Fresno Police Department Detective Christopher Franks. "Yes, it does," Franks said.
The shooting -- and what happened right after -- is too graphic for Action News to show. It sent the victim's family into tears in court, and several of them walked out.
"He handed a handgun to somebody inside the car," Franks testified about Devin Miliki Senegal.
Prosecutors say Senegal and Aaminah Norman-Taquee are responsible for the murder.

Each has pleaded not guilty, and a third suspect, Sabrina Agosto-Ramirez, is charged as an accessory. She remains on the loose.
Defense attorneys are now trying to clear the suspects of wrongdoing in court.
"Were you trying to obtain the 'why' in this particular case?" Defense Attorney Michael Aed asked Franks. "I don't know that why something happens matters," Franks said.
The judge also heard from Norman-Taquee's mother, who testified against her daughter. She broke down as she said the father of Norman-Taquee's baby was abusive and caused trouble.
The mom said the man was involved with multiple women and was known to make death threats.
"I don't believe it was random at all," Franks testified.
A judge will decide on Wednesday if there is enough evidence for the case to go to trial.
