Multiple people shot at mobile home park in Fresno County, officials say

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting at the Flamingo Mobile Home Lodge that injured multiple people.

Authorities were called to the area near Central and Maple avenues for reports of a shooting.

"Once they got onto the property, they found multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds," says Fresno County Sheriff's Office spokesman Tony Botti.

Botti says the victims were taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

Two vehicles were taken away from the area. One of the cars was covered with bullet holes.

The vehicles are one piece of evidence that leads investigators to believe the shooting happened in an outside area of the mobile home community.

"We are working with detectives to speak with everyone here on the property to try and figure out a little more about what has happened," Botti said.

The shooting left neighbors on edge.

"It's more shocking, I think, because I would have never expected that in this area," said one neighbor, who didn't want to appear on camera.

He says he moved into the mobile home community temporarily with his family.

Since his family has lived in the area, he's never heard of anything violent happening.

"As of now, the two months that I've been here, I'm always at work or at home," he said. "Every time I'm home, there's nothing bad and when I'm at work, I don't hear of any stories."
