MERRIMACK, NH — Law enforcement agencies spent several hours searching Litchfield and Merrimack for a possible suspect involved in a shooting in Concord last week.

The suspect was captured just after 3 p.m.

According to scanner chatter, officers in both communities, as well as the New Hampshire State Police helicopter and K-9 unit, searched the area of the Daniel Webster Highway for the unnamed suspect, who is a person of interest in the killing of Jillian Collins, 37, at a homeless camp in Concord near the Soucook River on property owned by the Pembroke Water Works.

A little past 2 p.m., troopers in the air switched to the Merrimack police scanner channel. A be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) alert from Litchfield police asked officers to look for a man with gray hair and a blue sweatshirt walking with a limp in the area of Temple Drive and Pine Avenue.
