LA GRANGE, IL – A drunk man last month at a La Grange restaurant ended up spitting on officers, threatening them and uttering racial slurs against African Americans and Hispanics, police said.

Nicholas J. Bacino, 43, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery on a police officer, aggravated assault, and resisting or obstructing an officer.

Patch obtained the police report through a public records request.

Shortly before 10 p.m. March 28, La Grange police were called about Bacino threatening to hit an employee who would not serve him food and drinks at Palmer Place restaurant, 56 S. La Grange Road.

Upon entering, an officer heard Bacino threatening someone, "I'll slap the f– out of you," according to the report.

The officer tried to get Bacino out of the restaurant, but he refused, police said. The officer guided him out.

In dealing with officers, Bacino spat on three of them and called an African American officer the n-word, the police report indicates.

Bacino told an officer that he knew where he lived and that he would kill him and his family, police said.

According to the report, Bacino issued threats and uttered slurs to the officers:

• "I know Mexicans that will f–ing kill you."
• "You wait, b–h. I have something for you."
• "I promise you motherf–r. I'm going to put something in your ass."
• "I promise you, you're going to die."
• "You spic motherf–r. You better watch when I catch you outside."
• "You w–tb–k motherf–r, you wait."

At the police station, Bacino told officers that he got off the train from Naperville and blacked out from alcohol and that the bartender was "f–ing" with him, according to the report.

He said he did not remember fighting officers and that he only wanted to leave.

He was taken to the Cook County Jail.
