Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the West Oak Lane section of the city.
It happened just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday on the 2000 block of W 65th Street.
Police responded to calls for a person with a gun. When they arrived on scene, they found a 40-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Investigators say the man was attempting to break up a fight on Stenton Avenue and was shot as he walked away from the scene.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where is listed in stable condition.
At this time, police believe the shooting stemmed from the on-going fight.
No arrests have been made.
