Man sentenced for deadly shooting of Porterville woman in 2022

A Porterville man received his sentence after being found guilty of killing a woman.

Douglas Paul was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

He was convicted of murdering Yesica Elisalde in March of 2022.

She was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later died at the hospital.

Investigators say she had conflicts with Paul and Yvette Carrillo.

GPS data placed Paul's car at the scene of the murder, and cell phone pings linked both Paul and Carrillo to the location.

Back in October, Carrillo was sentenced to 17 years to life for charges including murder.
