Man killed in drive-by shooting outside Hawthorne bar called The Greatest
Hawthorne police and Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide detectives are searching for the gunman who opened fire in a drive-by shooting outside a bar.
The deadly incident happened just after 7 p.m. outside of "The Greatest" bar on S. Inglewood Avenue, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.
A man was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. Police have only identified him as a man in his 30s.
Investigators say the gunfire came from a passing vehicle, but no description of the shooter or the car has been released.
