Man in extremely critical condition following shooting in Chester, Pennsylvania

Police are investigating after a shooting in Chester, Pennsylvania, left a man in extremely critical condition.

It happened just after 9 a.m. on Thursday on the 2500 block of West 3rd Street.

When they arrived, police say they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and leg.

The victim was taken to Christiana Hospital in extremely critical condition.

His identity has not been released.

Officials say they recovered a black van a short distance away that they believe was involved in the shooting.

There's no word yet on a motive.

The investigation is ongoing.
