Man fatally shot in Sacramento, police say

A man was fatally shot Wednesday morning in Old North Sacramento, officials said. Officers with the Sacramento Police Department were dispatched just before 8:18 a.m. to the 700 block of Dixieanne Avenue after receiving reports of a man on the ground. Upon arrival, officers found a man with at least one gunshot wound, Sacramento police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives are investigating.
