Man facing more murder charges after being accused of killing Berks County family

More murder charges have been filed against a man accused of killing a Berks County family.

Jose Luis Rodriguez, 61, was originally only charged with the murder of 33-year-old Junior Cabrera-Colon , who was found shot to death on September 13. He is now also being charged with the murders of Cabrera-Colon's wife and son.

Following the discovery of Cabrera-Colon's body, Pennsylvania State Police launched a missing persons investigation for Cabrera-Colon's wife, 30-year-old Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo, and their 1-year-old son, Jayden, according to family members.

A few days later, the bodies of Peguero-Mancebo and the couple's son were found in a grassy area several miles outside Reading.

On Monday, police announced the additional murder charges, adding that they believe Cabrera-Colon was murdered after Peguero-Mancebo and their son were killed.

Rodriguez has been held at the Berk County jail since Sept. 19.
