Man dies after shooting in central Fresno, neighbor taken into custody, police say

The man who was shot in central Fresno on Tuesday has died.

Police say they have taken his neighbor into custody for the deadly shooting.

It happened on Clinton Avenue near Bond Street around 6 pm.

Officers say 64-year-old Mark Tarasevic was shot once by 74-year-old John Gentry. They have not released what led up to the shooting.

Gentry was taken into custody shortly after and booked into the Fresno County Jail for murder.
