
A 32-year-old man is dead and another man is critically injured after a shooting at a Halloween party in Stanislaus County over the weekend, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies were called for the report of a shooting just before 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the 100 block of A Street in Empire.The sheriff's office said two men were injured by gunfire. They were taken to an area hospital. On Tuesday, officials said 32-year-old Juan Loaiza died from injuries he sustained in the shooting. The other victim remains in the hospital in critical condition. Officials said a third victim self-transported to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. The sheriff's office said witnesses reported running from the area as gunshots rang out, and deputies were unable to locate any suspects.
