Man arrested after killing another during a family disturbance in Merced, police say
A man has been arrested after shooting and killing a family member in Merced, police say.
Merced Police responded to a call about a family disturbance around 9:30 p.m. Saturday near the area of "O" and 10th Streets.
Officers discovered the victim, Christian Sanchez Aguilar, with a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
They arrested the suspect, Fernando Gutierrez, who remained on the scene. He is being charged with manslaughter.
