Man and dog shot near San Francisco mall; police officer also injured, authorities say

Authorities on Sunday are investigating after a man and dog were shot in San Francisco.

San Francisco police closed off the area around 4th and Market Streets near San Francisco Center.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m.

The man was taken to the hospital.

Two other people, including a police officer, had minor injuries. It's unknown from what injuries. But they declined to be taken to the hospital.

No word on what led to the shooting.
