Man accused of firebombing Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's residence expected to plead guilty

The man charged with firebombing the governor's mansion in Harrisburg is expected to plead guilty in court.

Cody Balmer is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated arson and terrorism.

The attack happened back in April.

Police say Balmer used a Molotov cocktail to start the fire while Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and his familyweres asleep upstairs.

It is not clear if Balmer is pleading guilty to all of the charges.

The fire destroyed the dining room where Shapiro had hosted a Passover seder just hours earlier.

Investigators say Balmer told them he targeted Shapiro's residence because of the Democrat's views on the war in Gaza.
