A 43-year-old woman told Chicago police a male suspect came up behind her downtown and hit her in the head earlier this week.
The woman said she was walking in the 600-block of North Rush Street in River North about 6:10 a.m. Monday, when the suspect hit her, causing her to fall down.
The suspect then fled east, police said.
The woman declined medical treatment.
CPD said no one is in custody, and Area Three detectives are investigating.
A north suburban woman was knocked out after being randomly punched downtown Chicago in August.
This is a developing story; check back with ABC7 Chicago for updates.
