Lorena Garcia identified as woman killed in Logan Square crash on North Avenue; Charges pending, Chicago police say
A woman killed in a crash in Logan Square has been identified..
The crash occurred at about 1:07 a.m. in the 3700-block of West North Avenue on Wednesday
The victim was identified as Lorena Garcia, 41, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.
Police said a driver, a 43-year-old man, jumped the curb and hit a raised barrier.
Witnesses told police the driver was speeding while trying to make a turn before the crash.

Garcia died at the hospital.
The driver was also in the hospital.
Chicago Police said charges are pending.
