A Berks County, Pennsylvania woman has been charged with first- and third-degree murder after police say she fatally shot her husband during an argument Tuesday night.
Authorities said Elizabeth L. McKenna, 46, called 911 around 8:26 p.m. to report that she had shot her husband at their home on the 400 block of West Walnut Street in Kutztown Borough.

Responding officers found William P. Kelly, 53, dead in the dining room with a gunshot wound to the head. The firearm was recovered at the scene.
Investigators said McKenna told detectives she and Kelly had been arguing and that he was antagonizing her.
According to police, McKenna said she retrieved a handgun from a safe in her upstairs bedroom, returned to the first floor and shot Kelly at close range.
Afterward, she allegedly told police she placed the gun on the dining room table and called 911.
A 10-year-old child was in an upstairs bedroom during the shooting but was not harmed, authorities said.
McKenna was charged Wednesday with murder of the first degree, murder of the third degree and two counts of aggravated assault. She was taken to the Central Processing Center at the Berks County Courthouse and is awaiting arraignment.
