A Douglas County District Court judge sentenced a man to jail over a gun linked to a deadly shooting involving a deputy. The judge gave Samuel Guy just under one year in jail with credit for 188 days served. Guy pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm by a juvenile offender. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Guy had previously been in possession of one of two guns recovered in a vehicle after a deputy-involved shooting. Earlier this year, Deputy Jesse Ronk shot and killed Janidi Ibrahim near 48th and Pratt streets. Investigators say Ibrahim pointed a gun at Ronk, and the deputy's use of force was later ruled justified by the Douglas County attorney. Investigators do not believe Guy was in or around the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
