IE Police Respond To Shooting Involving Homeland Security Officers

ONTARIO, CA — A shooting that unfolded in a residential neighborhood in Ontario on Thursday in San Bernardino County involved Department of Homeland Security officers, officials said.

Police were sent at 6:33 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Vineyard Avenue, Detective M Williams of the Ontario Police Department told Patch, adding that its officers were not involved in the shooting.

Officers were on scene to provide traffic control and security while federal officers conducted an investigation. Homeland Security and the FBI are investigating the shooting.

One person was seen being taken into custody,

No other details about injuries or arrests were available.

Homeland Security did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment.
